The rules for using Vanabout.
Vanabout generates campervan itineraries. The route and the day-by-day plan are produced by an AI model. Campsites are then looked up in OpenStreetMap, and each one links to its source so you can check it.
It is not a booking service and it is not a guarantee. We do not reserve anything for you. Campsite data comes from OpenStreetMap and may be out of date, incomplete, or wrong — opening hours, prices, power hookups and whether a site still exists at all can change. Driving times are estimates. Always confirm a campsite before you drive to it. You are responsible for your own travel decisions, bookings and safety.
An itinerary is written once, in the language selected when you create the trip, and keeps that language. Changing the site language afterwards changes the interface, not trips that already exist — re-writing one in another language would be a new generation, and a different itinerary.
Unlocking a trip is a one-off €9.99 payment (not a subscription); an optional AI-budget top-up is €4.99. A contract is formed when you confirm the payment on Stripe's checkout page. Any price shown to a consumer is a gross price: the amount on the button is the amount you pay, with nothing added at checkout.
Payment runs through Stripe as merchant of record. Stripe collects the payment, issues the receipt, and shows on that receipt any VAT owed under the rules of your country. On your bank or card statement the charge may therefore appear as Link — Stripe's checkout brand — rather than as Vanabout.
That changes who takes the payment, not who you deal with: for withdrawal, refunds, deletion of your account and anything about the trip itself, we remain your counterpart at the address in the Impressum.
As a consumer you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. Because unlocking a trip delivers digital content immediately, this right ends early once you have expressly consented to us starting generation right away and confirmed that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal (§ 356 Abs. 5 BGB). We ask for exactly that consent, as a separate confirmation, before you pay. Until you give it and generation begins, the ordinary 14-day right applies.
Widerrufsbelehrung. You may withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving reasons. The period begins on the day the contract is concluded. To withdraw, send us a clear statement (e.g. by email to mail@vanabout.app) of your decision to withdraw; you may use the model form below but need not. To meet the deadline it is enough to send the notice before the period ends. If you withdraw, we refund all payments received without undue delay and within fourteen days.

You may ask us to delete your account and all your trips at any time by emailing mail@vanabout.app.

We provide the service with reasonable care, but to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on generated itineraries or third-party map data. Nothing here limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health.
German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
